Unhappy Piranha SRT Problem

I hadn't used my SRT for a few months before this last weekend, and when i hooked everything up and cocked it, it shot two balls about twenty feet, and didn't recock. I looked in the feeder tube and noticed the hammer was a bit scuffed, so i took the hammer assembly out the back and replaced the spring as well as all the gaskets on the hammer. When I put it all back together it did exactly the same thing.

I had to end up using a bud's pump action and i got shredded. For the love of ja, someone help keep me from getting covered with welts again!

Yeah, the tanks were full (both the ones I tried). Had gone through the whole pre-hunt ritual, including buying new paintballs and getting my tanks filled. I did try lubing anything that looked like it had a gasket (o-ring) in it, but I will try breaking it down even more. Is there any specific lube that you like to use? I have WD-40 but have had....inconsistent results when using it where plastic parts are present (it melts plastic). Would I have anything to worry about here with that?

Never use WD-40 on any paintball gun, ever.
You can go to WalMart and get Brass Eagle Liquid Fire lube, or any other paintball lube for under $3

WD-40 might be contributing to the (if not the actual) problem
