sent back the hammer

a little while ago, i bought a titanium hammer from dark horizons paintball. i was thinkin...man, its gonna be sweet. i get it, slap it in, wont cock right. now im irritated. i played around with it, thinking maybe its me, maybe i forgot how to put my marker back together. nope, no matter what i try, it never worked. so i email their tech, we play 20 questions for a few days, thru his personal email acct.....one of the questions was "did you adjust the solenoid?".....ive never heard of that on a piranha, or spyder for that matter. anyways, he stops replying to my emails. today, 5 days and 3 emails after he stops acknowledging me, i re-wrote to the site contacts (all 3 departments). he answered me less than 1 hour later. " Please return it for a refund. I do not feel this hammer is compatable with your application. Adam". needless to say, im returning it. but what i wanna know, is how they can sell a product for a specific app. and it dont work? stupid. i bet they dont seel too many anyways. [/rant]

the problem was that i had to pull sdo hard to get it to cock, that it locked in position, and would not release when the trigger was pulled. i did a lot of stuff to it to try to fix it. but the problem was with the hammer. the part where the sear catches on the new hammer was about 1/32 off, causing the difficulty. i think i pissed them off, thats why they asked me to send it back, i never asked them, i wanted it to work.

i thought about that...taking it to a machine shop and having it corrected. but i live in BFE, and it would end up costing a lot in the long run....oh well, its already in the mail...
