Ive been using hoppes 9 oil on my piranha and its completely shot all the O-Rings on my Piranha. Now insted of going out and playing in my friends woods this weekend ill be setting at home waiting for the mail. The guy at Piranha said they it is made for Tippmanns but nothing was mentioned to me on the box. THANKS HOPPES 9!!!! This is just warning all you PMI people not to touch the stuff.

how exactly did it "shot" the o-rings? just expanded them? broke them down? or what?

pmi orings are touchy. "they" say to use only PMI oil or at worst case 100% synthetic paintball gun oil. dont ever use gold cup either.

I use Hoppes 9 to oil ALL my firearms, and almost all of my pball guns and my buddies guns. I've never had a problem at all.

Josh, the only tech ive ever spoken to at pmi (3 times), said that gold cup was the reasom my gun was "farting", that and the stock hammer oring, which he replaced for me, with the blue one and the warning not to use gold cup anymore.

i thought it was quite strange that he would say that, since so many people have used it, myself included, for so long.

Same here, I literally douse my O-rings with hoppes. MY gun has NEVER had any problems. I've had the usual tank O-ring freezing.

Hoppes wasn't "made for tippmanns". WTF? Its a nitro solvent made for real guns but htey put it in their paintball kit also.

IT works just fine for me.

Im sorry I was missed informed I was just saying what happened to me in my experence and if it doesnt happen to you than that is great. So I dont see the need for you to flame me over somthing that happened. K?

I only use hoppes nine on my fishys and spyders. Works fine, weird.

I use dow corning grease.
