tarp field?
i got this idea off of some1 on the forums, and i give props to u for this , i want to make a field by nailing tarp to trees making it a little loose so when the paintballs hit it they fall down and i THINK you can reuse the, but i have a few questions about it.
how expensive is tarp?
how do i connect it to the trees?
can i reuse the paintballs that hit it after the have already been shot?
if so how many times can i use them?

Not very expensive, I don't know exact prices but you could get a decent amount for 30 dollars

Nails

Possibly, it can vary a lot.

Although this seems like a good idea, I wouldn't go with it. Just build a nicer, solid field.

i use a tarp just for practicing, it is a big tarp and then connected to cut electrical wires (just spare wire lying around the house)are attached to 2 trees and the other end of the wire is in one of the holes on the tarp. then on the bottom it has 2 smaller (2 foot about) that are attached to the tarp and 5 pound weights to keep it down when a wind comes by. i dont have it up now but when spring comes i will put it back up and i will take pictures. The balls are pretty much reusable some may break but the others are fine, also if you want to freeze some paintballs (only some brands can i dunno why) if you shoot them it will go through the tarp and its pretty fun to watch lol

i guess it could work, but i have a feeling noise might become a factor, my friend had some tarps out at his house and when they hit it was extremely loud, but i guess if u had them loose enough it could work alright. and im sure just nailing them to the trees would be alright:-P

i dont kno if this would work man even if the tarp is loose they cost a ton unless you go to like ocean state job lot. iv seen cheap tarps like 20 bucks but i tihnk the paintballs would go right through eventually so it could get pretty expensive.it would be worth a try though.
you can also try folding the tarps in half so that way ther is double the strength all in the same tarp hope fully i helped

Depending on how big of an area you want to cover, and how important it is that every paintball be stopped (like if there is a fence behind it, or no houses on the other side, no big deal), you could just use some big bed sheets and shoot into them. As long as you give them some slack, they should be able to slow the paint enough to where it won't break.

no, you fold the tarp in half, horizontally (hot dog style, lol) and nail the 2 top orners on the seperate trees, and have the bottom not nailed, then you hit it and it blows back and absorbs the force, or you could run a string thorough the bottom inbetween the 2 sides of the tarp and tie it arund a trees...
