PA Paintball Fields

Why in da heck is it that most, if not everyone of the fields in PA require you to purchase field paint along with having higher prices for field fees?? I don't understand this concept and i know there are a few good fields that I would play in Pa, but have boycotted them due to this requirement. I will personally drive 3 hrs to Va to play on fields that don't have this ridiculous rule then drive 1 1/2 hours to those closer to me.

Can someone help me understand(da non-obvious) of why PA and some of the NJ fields have this requirement, along with higher walk on fees? I'm accustomed to paying a $15 walk on fee with me bringing my own equipment and paint which I can purchase for much less.

Skirmish charges nearly $30 for the walk on and with the purchase of their field paint, an additional $72 bucks for a case of paint, more if higher quality is needed.

I'm pulling my eye socket out right now trying to believe that Pa fields are much better then others across the nation and therefore worth the additional money to play on them.

Yeah, it's annoying here in NJ too, but from some of the members here, they showed me some fields that allow your own paint and their fees aren't bad. I need to check them out as they seem like smaller fields then other more expensive places.
