Help w/bunkers
Ok, so here's my situation. I have a big open field near my house that screams to be made into a field. I've read a bunch of posts about wooden pallets and 55 gallon drums being used as bunkers, but my parents wouldn't take it too kindly if I put this stuff into their cars (volvo XC90 and audi a4). Is there anyway to make bunkers from stuff lying around at home, like trash bags?

trash bags would NOT work paint would tear right threw them. Sure you can get pallets from almost every store like wal-mart if they are giving them away just ask if they have any pallets that you could have. you your can get plywood and make a fild like that. ive seen a nice x-ball ply-wood field where they cut out shapes like conventional speed ball fields.

No. You can't.
Borrow a truck with a trailer.

It depends on what the field type is, woodsball or speedball. It also depends on the "lay of the land". My first suggestion would be to use natural materials like trees and things like that. Just cut down a couple of trees and cut them up. My second suggestion would be digging. Digging can be your friend when you have no money or no way go bring materials back to your field.
We can help out a little more if you give us some more information on the field:
Do you want woodsball or speedball?
How big is the field(dimesions)?
What's on the field already(trees? bushes?...maybe some old junked out cars or something?)
Are you in a residential or rural area?
Stuff like that would help a lot when making suggestions on how to start going about building your field.

The field is a big open field (absolutely nothing on it, except grass), I'd like a speedball court/field, and the field is about half the size of a regulation football field.

Make sure that the township or something doesn't own (most likely is) it because the minute you get it done, it'll just get taken down.

Yea, like the others have said, you'll want to make sure it's actually property that you own. You'll also want to make sure that all houses, buildings, parking lots, and other public areas and private residences are out of paintball range(at least 300 feet away, that's one football field).
Since you're going to be doing speedball, digging probably isn't going to be practical, and since there are no trees in the area you're not going to be able to cut any down to use as bunker material...That leaves you in a bit of a tight spot as far as using stuff for free, not being able to haul stuff back to your field and all.
Some things you can think about using:
Pallets
Old carpet
Tarps(Although after a while tarps can start getting a little bit briddle and won't stop paintballs).
Tires
Those are all things that you could fit in the trunk of a car with a little bit of work. Other than that I think you're just going to have to do what others have suggested and borrow someone elses truck or trailer.
If all else fails...you might just have to get creative. You just gotta think "What around here would stop paintballs?" because if it'll stop a paintball, you can use it as a bunker(for the most part anyway). You're really only limited by your creativity and willingness to risk lawsuits.
