We just finished our field, Give me your impressions, video walkthru included.

Hey guys, I'm new to the sport and we kind of play as a family affair. This is our paintball field. It's pretty sweet but I'd appreciate any tips from more experienced players on what else we can do. I have made a video walkthru of the whole field. It's in a woods area about 700ft by 150ft. The land is owned by my parents and their neighbor. Mostly me my brother and his friends play and we are all pretty much older with a few kids amongst us. We are always looking for some not so serious relaxed players looking to have a good time. Like I said we just started with the sport and the neighbor and my brother cleared out the woods 2 weeks ago. None of us have played any sort of tournament or league play but the neighbor does have a couple of experienced friends that come out with some heavy artillery sometimes. We've had a few matches and are learning but any info on things we can do to the field along with what types of games we can consider playing on them would be greatly appreciated. If you live near Joliet, New lenox, Manhatten, Illinois area shoot me a PM or something and maybe we can work out a weekend to play.

Here are some questions I'm curious about.

What is the best type of paint to get accuracy and a big splat. Today we were using JT freedom balls and they were very accurate with no splat, Heck they would hardly ever even break, causing us to have a hard time keeping people honest.

Also what are the best types of games for woods ball. We've done some team death match and capture the flag but any info on new types of games and how your rules are setup is greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys, I hope you enjoy the video. It was one of the windiest days of the year but you can hear me for the most part. It starts on the exterior then I take you inside for a walkthru from one end to the other. It's not the best quality but you guys will get a good idea. Also on any parts I talk about the bank of the creek I really meant the hiding spots are great on the backside of the bank. You'll understand after you watch it. Killer field ! Would love to play on it! As for paint, stay away from brass eagle. I use diablo nightmare and heat paintballs and I've been happy with them. in woodsball try to use paintballs with darker shells so its harder to tell where there coming from. Other types of woodsball? Hmmm... You could try to setup 5 points on the field, and at each point put a red and blue flag. The first team to raise their flags at every point or the team with the most fags raised at the end of the game wins. And also with this type of game you might want to set up a rule if you get shot, you go back to your starting location, wait X amount of time and get back in the game!

I just kinda made this up off the top of my head, so I've never played a game like this before but it sounds fun!

Something like This!

Not my best work !
