Field Idea
Ok so I just got my first paintball gun and the reason for getting it was because I always wanted to try it and I have 37 acres in upstate New York, 12 of it is woods. I also was thinking of making a small field to play with bunkers (using hay stacks). I came up with this, what do you guys think? and what can I do to improve? I am new to paintball so I don't know what is necessary in a field.
Thanks

Thats actually a nice looking setup.
Only thing I would change is on top left and bottom right corners of the first picture, remove the angled hay bail, makes it a harder bunker to play and leaves an angle open to shoot at.

Did you use Sketchup?
Anyways, I'd say just make harder back bunkers, those look like real nice bunkers, but thay would give a unfair advantage, whitch would leave only the back players trying to pick eachother off from those bunkers.
And maybe make the cross in the middle just one tall tower.
It looks good though, I like it

The "L" shaped bunkers? remove them so there is more of an open space?

Yea I used Sketchup, its a good program to make paintball fields. I just made the basic shape of a hay stack and saved it as a component then stacked them.
And are you also talking about the "L" shaped bunkers?

hey that looks pretty fun. Give it a try, by playing it you'll be able to identify what you need to do to make it better.

All 4 of the corner bunkers need to be cut down a little IMO. They look to fortified. Make them easier to be shot at.

God I HATE sketchup... :P
That's just me though. It's great for pumping out ideas really quickly and simple.
You know, if you go to any auto repair shop, they have tires that they have to throw away. If you ask for them, they will give them to you for free!!!

Which would be great for your woods! Well, if your a woodsball player.. We play in some woods behind my friends old work and found a dumpster filled with tires! We made 2 large fields with them. We usually play 10 on 10 unless we go to our local field. (badlandz)

Get one tire of the same size of all the ones you want to stack. get it in position, get two stakes and drive them into the ground inside the tire so that it can't move, then stack.
The stakes should only be as tall as you bunker will be, and they are there so that not tires will fall and hurt anyone.

We stacked about 10 tires and made a long type of pole figure and used those and also stacked about 4 and 2 then 4.. like your hay stacks are. (2 then 1 then 2 lol)
