South Jerseyyy. Where do you ball?
I'm a resident of Camden County (not to be mistaken with the city, Camden, which is located in Camden County) and there's a group of 7 of us that like to paintball a lot. Woods, recball, even a little speedball just for fun. But I was wondering,
Where's your favorite spots in South Jersey?
I've played at
Picasso Lake Paintball - our personal favorites
Paintball Invasion - Haven't gone in a year or two, 2 speedball fields (indoor/outdoor) and a recball field.
On Target Paintball - Our Runner Up to Picasso, great field, nice refs
Accurate Paintball - Went there once, it was pouring down rain, couldn't see anything, can't really say much about it
Skirmish - Located up in PA, we've traveled up there three times now, great experience, worth the drive.

OTP was nice, but I don't know I it was just me laying down a lot, crawling etc, but I had ~5 ticks on me. I didn't get lyme (knock on wood) but definitely use bug spray. Not trying to say don't go, or scare you, just be prepared. If you can go on sunday, I think that's bring your own paint. We went on Saturday and had to pay field 60/case.

Had a GREAT time with my 15yo son and his buddy! The price can't be beat, either. $25 field charge, $5 for a CA tank (They don't fill CO2 tanks), and bring your own paint. The place may look kinda "low class", with the office being in a trailer, but that didn't bother me at all. (I was there for woodsball, not a speedball tourney!)
There was a decent mix of "noobs" and "pros", young and old, etc. The regulars took time to talk to the noobs, or people who were new to THIS field, to ask questions about people's skill level, give tactical advice, etc. They never came off like they were giving orders, which was cool, too.
The refs were cool, not hard to get along with, and never raised their voices unless they HAD to. (Calling out the field rules, the rules of the round, starting a round, calling cease fire, etc.) There was a couple guys there with these orange paintballs that would not break, and people were getting pretty shot up and angry. One word to the refs and they were checking people's hoppers and pods to get rid of those balls. The way they handled it was cool and calm, too.
All in all, a good, safe, time and we'll be back with more friends!

Some more list of fields.
Quickshot (Shamong N.J.)
Top Gun (Jackson N.J.)
Fireball Mountain (Wrightstown N.J.)
Fireball Mountain (Monroe N.J.)
On Target Paintball (Pemberton N.J.)
Invasion Paintball (Winslow N.J.)
Picasso Lake (Winslow N.J.)
I recommend all for the exception of Picasso Lake...Price & Fields are good, but it takes them along time between games to get started and once you get out to the field the refs take smoke breaks and your left standing around for another ten minutes or so. I can only speak for myself I like to play as many games as possible, I want my monies worth.
Cheers,
Jason
