I was hoping to use tarp to section off my paintballfield from the neighbors because its 1/5 the cost of using official netting. I was hoping that someone would be able to tell me what grade of tarp, if any, would work. The tarp would be run from a line and hanging free so it could move to take hits.

I was also looking to use tarp and 2x4's to make cheap bunkers and such.

I could use any ideas for sectioning off a large area (about 100' wide) from my neighbors, or about cheap bunkers that are easy to make.

a tarp should work as long as it's pretty thick, and it's not shot too many times from real close, then it should be okay.

If I were you i would get a piece and stratch it as tight as it can be. Then shoot it with a gun shooting 15 fps over the regulated level. See how long it can stand against it. These would be the worst condition for it so if it can withstand this, than it would probably be ok to be used as netting

if you just let it hang free it will give a bit when the ball hits it so even if it is a little thin it should be fine and maybe the balls wont even break on it

bunkers can be made out of anything so they are not expensive you can make expensive ones but they work just as well as the cheap ones

Yeah tarp would definetly work. For bunkers, just use old scrap wood laying around the house. And what my friend does is goes and gets those little plastic play sets that little kids play with. He gets them from people whos kids are too big to use it anymore. Those work as great bunkers, and they're real cheap too.

Lots of sheets of tin and posts. You should see the things that have been built. If the professor can make a radio out of cocanuts then i think that you can figure something with tarps and posts out. lmao

a tarp should work. but watch out for those windy days. tarp won't be able to replace netting when the wind blows hard.
