Thought for retirement?
Damn 15 adn thinign abotu retirement. Oh well.
Paintball has a lot of money in it. I will sometimes dish out 100 dollars a day for a good game. All I require is cool refs, and a good field. Think about it. My family has some big land in its posession. Enough for a woodsball field way on the other side of the hill. I dont live on it but my dad does..
Anyways, all you need is some lumber. Lets say you need 10 grand in lumber. USe it to build parts for the staging area, and a nice fort on one of the fields.
You'll need to clear out a bit of it. Maybe not ALL of it, but at least make it so there are lanes of fire going on and you can get around, but still use the foliage to cover yourself. Probably 1,000 and some labor and about a month of work.
speedball. I dont care what you say, EVERY field needs some speedball. 7 player airball field... 4500. Hyperball field... 2000.
I'd clear out a section of the forest and drop in a bunch of broken old cars and fill it with 50 gallon drums and stuff... 2000.
Alright. WE're at 19,500 green ones.
Paint- 60 bucks a case. You can probably buy it wholesale at 40 a case.
Entrence fee- 10 dollars for people buyign paint at my place, 20 dollars for people bringing their own paint, and 15 for people bringing some and buying some. Also includes 2 free air fills on any tank.
air- 10 dollars all day air
lunch- I worked at a snack bar so I know you can buy about 30 burgers for like 10 bucks a case, and hotdogs for about the same. Sell dogs for a dollar, burgers for 1.50
Rental markers- Piranhas.. 40 of em, 6400 bucks (at 25,900 now) For 30 bucks you get a marker, CO2, and a hopper with 200 rounds to start you off. Rentals coem with all day air and a burger or dog- your choice.
Pods are a good idea becuase they give the customer somethign extra to buy, and also encourages them to use more paint. 20 bucks for a 4+1, so 40 of them is about 800 bucks. 26700 dollars.
ALright. Now for me. I'll go paintballing with my own gun and bring some of my paint and buy some of theirs. 15 bucks. I know I'll need all day air with my 45/3000 tank. 25 bucks. I'll probably buy a case for the day and have some left over. 85 bucks. I'll get a burger. 86.50 . Now I consider myself to be a regular walkon. All I need is a god field and byop and air.
So lets say my dream field gets 50 people a day, for a year. multiply that by 86.50. 1 million, 578 thousand and 625 dollars. 1,578,625. Alright maybe onyl 25 a day. Thats still 750,000 bucks.
Lets go for the 750,000. Federal tax is 35% for that amount of money. WE're at 552,518. State tax epends on the state.. So I dunno. Well the land is in NH, so theres no tax there.
I'll need some employees. 5 kids working for 8 bucks an hour (thats some pretty good pay for a kid), thats 116800 a year. 435718 bucks. Only utilities I can thing of is electric. Bathrooms = portapotties. And I can get electricity from my house not too far away.lets round it off to 436,000.
Thats a lot. Why doesn't everyone own a field. That number could be +/- a few hundred thousand too. Some days we might get 10 players, others we might get 100. This is all depending on 25 players a day, and I know at the fields I go to I see WAY more then 25 a day.
Why doesn't everyone have a pantball field? I dunno. but god damn thats a lot of money. All you'd need is an initial investment or loan.

You forgot $3000 a year for liability insurance, $5000 a year or so in property taxes, $1500 a year for a business liscence, $5000 a year in maintenance and equipment replacement.
Other then that, you do have a plan. Go with HPA - buy a 4500psi compressor and a 4 bottle cascade - $15,000..

You also got to factor in insurance, and ever since a lady around here got killed from a co2 misfunction, two of the three companys for paintball insurance dropped out, and the remaining one raised their price, which required every place to add on 5 or more dollars to the admission cost. Still, even with everything paid for, you could make possible $400,000+/- a year, which is extremely good. I should start a paintball field...

The 400k a year doesn't even take in rentals into consideration.I'd be just fine with 200,000 a year.
Paintball is a goldmine I tell you.
