What do you guys think?
Finally got my 45/45 Crossfire tank. Got it filled and played around with my Quest today. Had some really bad paint and started having barrel breaks, then a hopper break and all hell broke lose.
Anyway I noticed that as I shot the quest both with paint and then dry fired (to help break it in) the LPR reg slowly creeped down from 100 psi to 90 or so. I don't think this is a major problem but it seemed to shoot worse when the LPR got down to 90. (by worse I mean a little slower, and breaking more paint).
My guess is that the gun isn't broken in enough to be set at 90 yet (only 2 fills through it), but what i'm more conserned about is it creeping down. Any idea why this would happen? Maybe it just needs to be shot more?

You are correct, and all Quests have that. The LPR works it's way down slowly, after a couple cases it will be able to run at like 70 PSI through the LPR, My cousin had his running really good at 70. There was one kid that was running it at 25 PSI, but it hasn't been proven yet whether or not it was a broken gage.

Alright, thanks. I'll just set my LPR back up to 100 psi and shoot it some more.

good idea, one thing my cousin noticed which I thoguht was funny was as his LPR dropped his FPS creeped up, so pay attention to that until it gets fully broken in, GL and congrats on an awesome shooting marker.

If the gauge pressure continues to fluctuate, then check the oring on the LPR piston. I have pictures showing what it is, so PM me if needed.

Another thing is that when you go to take the gun apart(not that you should need too) be careful cuz the noid and battery wires and not soldered on there, they are just pressed with plastic fittings.

Have you gotten this working yet? If not, I can take a look at it for you or refer you to a few others.

what are you talking about? he bought it brand new and everything still needs to be worn in. There's nothing wrong with his quest.

A lot of people blame the noid itself, but it is the same noid put in dm5's(and newer ones if they didn't change it) so it can't be the noid. It is simply FEP getting lazy(they are a great company, but got lazy on that one little part).

My quest is working fine, it's never been not working... The only thing I've done with it is readjusted the LPR... I havn't noticed it creeping down anymore, but I havn't but many more balls through it. Maybe 100 since making this thread.
Not sure where people are getting the idea that my quest was broke.. or used for that matter.

Just wanted to make sure everything is working fine.
If you notice the LPR pressure does fluctuate slightly, take out the LPR's spring and see if it compresses easily.

I'm not sure what you mean? Taking out the LPR spring takes approximately 7 seconds or less.
If you feel you need a barrel kit as your stock barrel may have a bore size of .696, I'd suggest having it modded to accept Freak Inserts. A couple guys over at PbNation do it for $20.

You need a barrel kit? That stock 007 barrel shot pretty good when I was using it. Thoguh you can't go wring with a DW.

Kenny,
Some people complained about the 007 being .689, and the 007 full Barrel Kits were scarce, so FEP made the newer stock barrels with a .696 bore.
