I am about to purchase a Quest from friend that won it at a tournament. My question is, does anyone know anything abou the company? I cannot pull up there website, are they still in existance? I just want to make sure before I buy.
I'm sad to say, but FEP is pretty much dead at this point. The company still technically exists but it only employes one or 2 people. Basically the company's two main guys split and with the hard times in paintball, the company went down.
It is possible for FEP or a new company selling quest markers could come up, but neither looks to be happening soon.
If you can get a good deal on the quest, I would buy it anyway. They are great markers and 90% of the problems with them are simple O-rings. These are the most air efficent true spools that I know of.
Hey, thanks for the reply. If I do buy this gun where can I purchase O-rings, parts, lube, etc. I just want to cover my butt in case something goes wrong with it.
I know Ebay sells a lot of the oring kits and certain wiring parts. not to mention aftermarket boards and bolts.
I do have a question though, What is the difference between a Quest and an OG Quest...I'm thinking the OG means original but I want to be sure before I invest $399.99 on it lol.
Thanks, I have no clue the difference of a Quest or OG Quest. Monday night is when I'm going to pick mine up. I'll let you know how it performs. I'll google an OG and see what I find.
tlmiller, thank you. that was driving me nuts trying to figure it out. Oh and are there any major differences between the 0G and 07 quests? (other than the 07 usually having a new style gold member)
the reason I ask is because there is a OG on ebay for 399 and an 07 for 599...thats a big price difference for it to be one year apart.
Feedback? yeah like that means a whole lot. Its pretty easy to fake feedback. Have your friends create deals that never went down and give you positive feedback under different names. I'd rather take the sure thing and order from an actual store like Criticalpaintball.com even though their price is $499. You get a brand new marker right out of the box with no scratches or wear that you know will work as soon as you get it lubed again...and the best part is, No extra research on possibly shady people, No worries, No risk, and No Scams.
Now I'm not downing anyone that buys over forums or anything like that, just saying its my personal preference not to. The only way I would is to go through a third party. That atleast seems somewhat safe.
The few differences between an OG (06)quest and 07.
You already seen the body, but another difference is that most of the 07 and 06's have differnet stock boards in them.
