Better, yes. But not drastic. They've improved efficiency slightly almost every model (DM4/5/C all same) since DYE has owned the rights to the Matrix. 6 was slightly better, 7 yet, 8 again, 9 still. While the DM9 is most definitely the most efficient Matrix ever made, it's not amazing improvements over the DM8 or 7. And the amount I hate it's eyes overrule any amount of improved efficiency IMO. But that's just me.
wait so fep is relaunching? so is it worth buying a used one now or should i wait and buy a new one from when they relaunch? if they do relaunch how much better will the relaunch quest be than the older quest?

They are TRYING to relaunch. There are no official announcements, nothing but Bronc's statement that he is working on a new version of the Quest that he would LIKE to have out before 2010. However, there is nothing wrong with buying the current ones, they're much cheaper than a new Quest would be (even if it were available, it'll probably be close to a grand), and they still perform wonderfully. And in that thought of mind, here's the newest member of my family that should be shipping out in a couple days.
I paid $250 shipped and paypal'd for it. Not bad considering it's got the GM bolt and snatch pin. I've seen better deals most definitely, but I'm happy to have a non-gunmetal one.
It's got a Virtue (I personally dislike Virtue boards). I have a .696 007 with one of my Quests. I'm not sure what bore comes with this one. I've never used it though, I use my kits on most of my markers over a stock barrel, even if it's a good stock barrel.
So... I pulled a tlmiller.
