If anyone needs a Quest body, I'll be selling my 06 body. The noid gasket is bad (possibly the noid itself), and I don't have a spare, which means it would cost more than $.01 to fix it, so it's being sold off once I get around to taking pics and posting. Won't include 4B and won't include the reg or Bob Long gear drive on/off.
That's why I was posting this thread so everyone knows to watch. I won't post it for long here before offering it there also since I know I can sell it over there.
I don't know, I may include a goldmember/stock pin or stock bolt/stock pin with it. But definitely won't come with the 4b since those sell for so much nowadays alone.
As for the juit mods, super simple. If you have any type of fixed clamp and a hand drill you can do them. Drill press and a clamp is PREFERRED, but they can easily be done with a hand drill.
I've kinda been wanting to do this to one/both of my Quests, but I'm pretty sure that I would f it up in some way or another. What are the benefits of this?
Also, I still think that we should switch bodies out. You know you want to!:naughty
i'm gonna try my darndest. speaking of which, miller, my orignal quest has a really ****ty magnet, and the frame on fetus' looks liek the magnet was drilled through? is that a mod? or was that inherent to the frame?
I have not, the stock detents have always worked well for me so the one Quest that I had to replace them in (the 06 that just died) I replaced them with stocks.
Benefits of the LPR mod is that it recharges significantly faster, so you are able to use a lower LPR pressure to cycle, and your theoretical max ROF will go up.
Guide pin mod is the same as all pin mods, lowers volume thus increasing efficinecy.
Tip mod prevents rollback, and allows the Quest to work with more fragile paint better.
I think I have a problem. I have never owned a quest, yet I just bought spare parts for a quest. :dodgy:
I didn't think $28 was bad for the following stock parts(used): Bolt and bolt pin, HPR, LPR, Spring, eye covers, and eyes. They were gold, so at least if I buy a "ninja" quest as most people call them, it will not be so ugly or ninja.
