Avenger

i am so confused.
I own a Brass eagle Avenger and decided to take it apart a couple of weeks ago to slean it. later that week i went to my local paintball field and my brass eagle avenger failed to recock after i shot it. also it jsut put a small amount of co2 through the barrel hardly even enough to shoot the ball. The tech at the field fixed it for me in like 10 secs by taking it apart and either swithing something around or adjusting something not to sure
after i got home from the field i decided to clean out my gun and take it apart and guess what now i have the exact same problem as before and cant solve it.

i know for sure that it isnt a co2 problem because i have tried with numerous full co2 bottles.

i was hoping someone out there could help me and solve this problem.
Thanks for your time and help i really appreciate it alot.
and i hope you guys just dont tell me to get a new gun cause thats what alot of people say

Its not a bad gun for one. I would recommend that when you take parts out you need to make sure to put them back in the exact same way. Use your guns schematic that should have come with the instructions to guide you on reassembly. Once you have done it a few times and get it right, you will be able to strip a gun in a few seconds. My buddy and I had a contest to see who could completely strip a Spyder Xtra the fastest. He won with a time of like 4-5 mintues. I took about 5 seconds more. Had a 3 second delay on aligning the valve. =)

i dont think the avenger is that bad.... it should be great for a few times at the field or playing in the woods with your friends,

one thing, you were better off spending 30 more and getting a tippmann.....

i dont the the avenger is worth bothering taking apart and cleaning.... or buying closty replacement parts for......

but practice learning how to take it apart and taking care of it, so you will be ready to take care of a high-end gun,(so you will not be one of those newbies that askes "whats wrong if my autococker".......... it kinda makes me mad when i little kid askes why why his cocker will not shoot is he does not have the tank on..... (i've seen it before!!!)

The avenger is probly like the stingray I used to own. Like all BE guns, once you take them apart you have to put the together THE EXACT SAME WAY. I had the exact same problem you did. And I found that I acedentally putthe rubber stopper in the wrong way. (Thus too much gass comming out at once, resetting the cocker). Make sure you check your manual!!

some ways to help to put your gun back together if you lost the maunal, draw a pic on a peice of paper, or only take one peice off at a time then clean it and oil it then put it back together and then clean a diff part. i had the same problem once, i think maybe you put the spring in the wrong way, try that and if thats doesnt work, take it back to the field and have the guy fix it again and watch him do it and, and ask him what was wrong with it. then you souldnt have the prob again

lol, all markers have to be put back together the exact same way or they woulden't work. If you put the ball detent in backwards on any marker that has the same style detent it wont work.

Anyway about your problem: Either you don't have the velocity adjusted correctly. Or your spring is bent, Or you need to oil your marker. When you oil your marker don't just use any oil. Use hoppes gun oil, ATF (automatic transmission fluid), air tool oil, or paintball specific oil. Let me know if any of that helps. Also...This should be in the Brass Eagle forum.
