Increasing Members

''Just a thought'', but if we made it so that in order to view a thread and browse the forum you had to be logged in. It would increase the the amount of members online, and intern might cause more people to post and the forum to grow even more.

Just a thought....it might be a bad idea, but to me it seems alright.

I've seen forums do that. I would end up registering, but only posting if I liked what the forum had. It might work, it might not, some people could just say "foget it" and not even bother registering

When I go to a forum and it requires you sign up before you can view the forum I never register. I figure the forum isn't that good if they have to trick you into registering.

Also, I don't think PBF has any problem with a lack of active members or posting.

Exactly. If anything I would want the number of active members to decrease a little.

Only look at members that have 1+ post, it'll be a lot less. Less than half of those are active though, not 1/2...

It's a bad idea. I send links to various posts to my friends who aren't registered, and they get the information they need. Nuff said.
