Ok, lately there has been lots of people spamming. It is clear to me and other members that lots of people are just worried about getting their post count up. People will post one word sentences like every post. And then once they hit a certain point they will be like "w00t 900 posts", stuff like that. And I honestly think that it would be best for the forum and cut down the spamming if we didn't list the post count in the user title are. Kind of like PBNation. Because if some noobs dont look around and notice that everyone posting around them has a higher post count, they wont be as temped to post crap and they would actually contribute to the forum for once. Well thats what I think would help.

Believe it or not, a lot of the mods share your feelings on post counts...all of us mods either want them out of under the user name or removed at all.

another thing we could do is not have any lounge posts count at all torwards your total post count.

i think people with low post counts spam because all of the members who have +500 posts make fun of them because they are "noobs" just because of their post count
(spud, HaBlich, Nyy, FainTb, Joosuxor, Bubba, and people like them)

i think that is the real reason for the spamming

Hey, dammit..... no one is going to rob me of my elaborate "1,000 post victory dance" which I should reach sometime in March of 2005!

I really don't mind the post count that much. I usually ignore it, but if I talk to someone I'm not that familiar with it makes a general gauge of how to respond to something. (Low post counts are usually either "new players" or "potential jerkwads".)

Personally, my own count could be a heckuva lot higher by now, I just refrain from posting if I really don't have anything semi-useful/entertaining to add. I'd rather have 500 solid, thought-out posts than 1,500 of mostly fluff, but that's just me. I admit though, it's irritating to see someone quote 3 paragraphs, only to say "ya" and see it count for just as much. *shrug*

(Hey, since my posts tend to run long, can I just get my post count to multiply by 5? )
