b2k5. Simply put, it's a proven design that's had the flaws worked out of it. After the Ions been around a while, I might change my position, since I think it's WAY better looking than a b2k5. But until I know enough people that have them, and have gotten to play with it once or twice, I wouldn't risk buying it.

B2K5. Made by a more reputable company with a better customer service program. Also, ICD is a better company (product-wise) in my opinion, simply because ICD guns do not break as easily as say, shockers. They are built extremely well, the PDS is amazing, and yeah. Also, like the dude above me said, they've been around longer (the B2K design) and it is proven. All of the bugs haev been worked out. They are also pretty damn air efficient. Well, that's what I've got for ya. Oh, also, the B2K5 isn't made out of plastic.

the b2k5 is on a whole nother level than the ion. i would say it is MUCH more comparable to a BKO 05. and even then the BKO could easily smoke it. And think of the amount of upgrades for a bushy compared to an ion. I also find the ion to be extremely repulsive and plastic-looking.

yes it is
dont talk unless you know what your talking about
the ion ha a PLASTIC body to it, while it is a considerably strong plastic, it is still by definition plastic
however, that isnt a bad thing, i think its a great idea, but you should run around telling lies

b2k5 all the way... they're not limited to 17bps, got clammy, reliable marker with reliable support, and PDS is proven as one of, if not the, best eye systems out there.

I'd say B2K5 also. It's a proven marker. I'd probably rather want an Ion over a BKO.
The body of an Ion is not plastic, it is all powdercoated aluminum, just the shell that is screwed onto the body for looks is a strong plastic.
The internals are pretty weird. It has the ACE board which is shaped like a C, the noid, the mother board, and macroline type hoses.

B2K5. The Ion is new, it'll have plenty of bugs. the b2k has had four or five years to work alot of those bugs out. Ion is capped at 17bps which can be achieved easily by some. the b2k is capped at 40bps which is more than humanly possible. b2k by alot at the moment until the Ion is proven.

you're the one telling lies buddy. the ION is, for the last time. ALUMINUM!!! the plastic shell is a substitute for anno and i protects the aluminum and the internals

dude, #1) chrome is like, the forum pimp, u dont' correct him. Also, if u check my signature, not taking his advice is bad for ur health.
B/c chrome is right, its plastic. Sure not ****ty plastic, but plastic nonetheless, so eventually it will break from continued stress, sure no biggie, $30 new shell, prob. fixed. I have 0 problems w/ the idea of a plastic shell, i'm just defending chrome, b/c he's ****ing right.
ION= 05 BKO. Man, such a tie there. SP really fired a shot at the bko challening ICD on this one. If they slap a clammy on the next bko. Well, i think the bko will tear the ION up then.
As everyone knows B2k5>bko, so >ION. Ion is a nice gun, but its not built to last as long as the b2k, also proven design, proven eyes, yadda yadda yadda.

I agreed w/ chrome statment of plastic body. Which is the same thing as a shell. Okay, we all know the specs.

I would go with the ICD, as has already been stated the ION is new so it is likely to have some bugs an lets face it Smart Parts is not known for stellar reliability to begin with, which it would seem logical to assume, is going to be even greater on a new design. Also if it is sooo good, why is it so cheap? Is it because they don't want to make a profit, or is it because it is a cheap design using less then great parts. I would question the longevity of it, based off of what I have seen so far, although time could prove that wrong. I just wouldn't want to be the one to test it out by spending my money until it is proven.
