the Ion is 300 the B2K5 is 495 from Shore Paintball so it isnt 50 bucks its $195 difference. But for all I know you could be buying it from a different site and if it is PM me the site. |

Location: Southern Calfornia BABY. Right down the street from SC Village, Home of Team Dynasty. Corona is where i live, but i go to school in Chino Hills. There is a Stream by my house that gets filled with Cow crap...which is kinda wierd. Thats all i can say.

i would go with the ion
you could look at it money wise, the BKO is going to be what, arounf $350 or so? Ion is only $285?
you can get an ION, a CP one piece, uni, and poissibly even a clamping feedneck for only a little bit more than a stock BKO
or you can look it at preformance wise. the BKO, while by definition is an electro pnumatic marker, it still has a spring in it, where as the ION doesnt. and as much as i have supported ICD guns, i dont like the was a BKO shoots, i just shot a BKO with ICD installed PDS 2 days ago, and i wasnt impressed at all. it just seemed to shoot like a nicely upped spyder to me, didnt make me think that i was shooting a high quality marker at all.
not to mention that ICD has never been known to have great regs where as SP has great ones, and while the ION's new reg isnt tested, id still put more faith in SP to make a quality reg than ICD

pbpro you sir are a dumb****.....freestyles do not suck at all. They are better than your mag and your angel as well. Did the term user error ever occur to you? And this gun will "not" be simply the quality of a product as the 05 BKO. Don't fall into the hype. The BKO is definitely where its at.

dude, his friend got a roally f-ed up FS. It leaked, etc, etc. So now he has a skewed (rightly so) view of their products. And i agree w/ their regs not being the greatest.
And i disagree, the b2k5 is where it's "at"

dude, u really need to give it up. there is always a black sheep. it just may happen that that sheep was sent to ur friend in the form of an ICD freestyle, but honestly, this is a thread about ion or BKO 05. personnaly, the ion because its cheaper and has some of the same features.

I think it was a smart marketing move they did. Remember the dm5 and all that bad hype we made? Well this had us holding our breaths much harder than for the dm5s release. I think it really boosted sales. Ppl wanted to know, wtf is this, and does it work?

Pizz and I were talking about the SP "mystery" gun on aim only several hours before specs and pics showed up on the net.

wrong choice IMO
until i shoot an ion i dont believe the hype....thats all it is right now. hype. the bko is a proven design while the ion is new and another one of sp's guns (shocker duh) also have problems, as we all know. id take the bko right now but that might change soon
