Proto vs. Really Upped Cocker
Okay, I'm torn between these two choices
04 Vertical Feed 'Cocker with
Nexus Internals Kit
Nexus LP regulator
MacDev Gladiator regulator
Matchstik kit
E2 with eye
Clamping Feed
OR
Proto Matrix with
Venom trigger
Clamping feed
Virtue Chip
I think they both come out to around the same price. Which one of these ONLY do you think would be better?

god, whats the price for the cocker and proto? They are pretty even performance wise.

Proto, lower-end cockers are never as good as trixes especially the proto.

Would it be worth it to save up an extra 100$ and get the DM4? Or would the Proto still perform better? I like the looks of the DM4 more than the Proto, but if the Proto outperforms it, then it wont matter.

Dang, I know this is going to be a double post, but anyway. Is it easy to get the Proto's Board flashed to the Virtue Chip programing? How much does that usually cost? Also, are there any other upgrades you would reccomend?

proto is the best choice out of all of them...smaller then the dm4 and its just as fast if not faster...and any of the dm's are better then a cocker...Proto>dm4>spyder pilot> cocker lol

considering that both boards are uncapped they are just as fast(though im not familiar with the virtue chip so it might have ramping). The only people that would choose the cocker would be those who truely love them, and those people wouldnt have to ask.
although id prefer a used DM4 or NYX the proto is certainly better in this match up.

I wouldn't pay over 1k for either of those used are they? Anyway take the Proto, if its 1150 for the cocker you coulda bought yourself a E2'd Karni a Nexus DC2 etc for the same price :P
