Spyder Fenix ACS or Pilot ACS
Alright. I am looking at buying either a Fenix ACS or a Pilot ACS, and the only difference I can seem to find is that the Fenix has the 3-round burst, 6-round burst, and a full auto mode. There is also a difference in barrels, but I already have a good barrel, so that's not a concern. Does anyone know anything else I should consider about these two guns???
Thanks!!!
-Anna

The Fenix has a reg, although it may not be the best quality one. This can help get a constant FPS if you're running CO2. The Pilot has an expansion, which is is made to give CO2 more surface area to soak heat from in order to become a gas. This serves no purpose other than a grip handle if you use highpressure air. Also the Fenix seems to have a feedneck attached. I'm not sure it does, so I will stick with 'seems to'. If it does, than you won't need the plastic elbow to connect your hopper; it will plug right into the feedneck.
Basically they are the same overall. Both are nice little entry level electros..Either is a nice choice.

Well... the Fenix ACS is $250. Why not just get $35 more and go with the Ion?

A good thing to consider as well, especially if you're going to pay that for a spyder. It is a more complex marker, but follow the directions and keep it maintained and you'll be fine.

Good point about the Ion.
I though they both had Regs just the angle of the Reg/Exp Chamber was diffrent (Barrel, looks, etc.).
Double check though. The Ion might be a better speedball marker out of box.

If you plan on upgrading the gun in the future...go for the Ion, that extra 35 bucks will be the best upgrade you can do. If you're getting the spyder atta deal. I got to tune the trigger on a Pilot ACS and was surprised, its actually a nice gun...

The Ion is low grade....for a smart parts marker, however compared to a Spyder or Stackedtube Blowback clone its definatly superior being a true EP gun, with the added advantages of having break-bream eyes, a half-decent reg, alot of support for future upgrades, low kick that goes along with being ep, etc.

I prefer to use spyder guns, and I get them at a wholesale price, so the Ion would be much more of a price jump than just $35. Thanks for the tips though!

I didn't remember the web site saying the Ion having eyes?...if it does then it IS the best deal at that price range.
Candyman, sence you only have $220 then that deal on the Fenix ACS is the best you can afford.
What about the other stuff you'll need? Hopper, paint, air etc.? You need money for that stuff too.
