Exclamation tippmann A-5 or 98C

For a newb like myself playing mostly in wooded areas and in some feild with a few other guys is it worth the cost difference to get a tippmann A-5 rather than a 98C? If it is worth the difference is it worth the price increase to get the response trigger option on the A-5 and just forget about the elecrtic option-don't want don't need it. Or what about a Tippmann Custom Pro RT? I am welcome to any suggestions. thanks.

If you are talking about the response trigger when you say rapid trigger, you can get that on the 98C. Really the A-5 is good, but not truly worth the money. If I were you I would go with the 98C, becuase it has just as many or more upgrades available, is cheaper, and plus you dont have the big cyclone feed on the side of your gun. And you can also get the E-Bolt kit for the 98C.

I would get a 98c its got same ammount of upgrades as a A-5. The only thing you get on A-t then a 98c is the feeder. I say go with 98c.

1.) This should be in gun comparisions.
2.) I'd go with a 98c. I've shot both and just prefer the 98c better. It's also cheaper. I'd get the e-grip. There are more options that an RT.

Yeah you can upgrade almost anything on the 98c. It's cheaper too.

Yeah it's more upgradable and the A-5's feeding system sometimes gets jammed.

Get the A-5 I have not had any problems with it. People always complain about the cyclone feeder being so big but who cares?

a5, easier to field strip, and has a cyclone feed.

Everyone says the feed is not worth the extra money, but the truth is that you will spend more money on a good hopper (if you get the RT 98).

A-5 looks nicer too, and has a lower profile

Get the 98 Custom. Why? It is an A-5 without the bulky cyclone feed for a cheaper price. You get a good hopper for it ($40-$50) and you are set.

If you really want to know, the flatline doesnt help that much. A couple kids near me have them, and if you are willing to sacrifice accuracy for a little bit more distance in GOOD conditions, then by all means get one, but I really dont think it is worth it. I would get a CP 2 piece if you plan on upgrading the barrel. Either that or a CP 1 piece.

98c... smaller profile less money spent has more ups than the a-5 and u really never have to take it apart... i have a 98c and im happy with it for now... but im more of a speedball player and after i got the 98c did i notice it but i played woods with it a lot and hit it into trees rocks bunkers etc and nothing happend to it not sure about the a-5... if u want a gun that ull have absolutly no maintenece problems with and has lots and lots of ups go with the 98c... and u wont be spending a crap load o money.. ^ flatline aint to great it really makes ur gun stand out man... this guy at my field brought it and he was hit in da barrel to much :P o and u wont need to get an electronic hopper for a while 2 cuz ur not gunna be shooting to fast till u get the RT if u do... well good luck choosing trust me if u get the 98c itll be a great choice (look for used ones with RTs or other ups real cheap)

A lot of people. The things huge and in some cases has caused people problems. And in the end, a 98C with a revvy is probably cheaper and perhaps more effective. Plus here's the kicker...the hopper can be used on any other gun. Imagine that. MP11 already covered this though.

On to some other posts... The great thing about Tippmanns is that if you don't like something, you can change it. You can make a 98C easy to field strip. Lots of people have done it.
