The 05 superstock is electric, but the 05 prostock is a mech. I would go with the 05 prostock because I love cockers.

if you want dead on accuracy, get what i have... 04 prostock, shocktech bolt, dye ultralite 14' barrel bore size .688, use hpa (i use 48/3000), and shoot pmi premiums. i pretty much have dead on accuracy with this combination

if you want speed then of course the ion

A markers operation has nothing to do with it's accuracy, unless you count consistency and recoil. Just because a cocker is a cocker doesn't mean it will shoot more accurately than an Ion. You want better accuracy? Get a better barrel, not a better marker.

Go with the Ion, just as accurate as a cocker, faster, a little bit easier to maintain, and new and experienced players alike will turn their heads and ask you how much you like it when you walk on the field with it (since it is the single most popular mid-range marker at this point).

an ion with the same barrel and an aftermarket reg(which you can afford because the ion is $120 less) will be way more accurate then a stock 05 or even a 04 with the same upgrades. I have shot multiple ions and owned a 2k4 vf(same thing as 04 prostock) and the ion has much less kick and with a new reg wouldnt have the dropoff problem(and if your arguing that closed bolt is more accurate you should stop believing everything you read).
the ion is faster, has less recoil, is lighter, is cheaper, and is way more reliable. go ion.

edit: you can get an ion for less then $280 not $300

I dont really want to get into this but, how is closed bolt not even a tad more accurate? I'd like to know in a resonable response, not "it is." It seems to me it would be. And my trilogy and 04 were more accurate than my 98c and impulse even with my freak on the impy.. Moldy, ID go with the 05, thats just MO. Go to your local shop, and ask to dry fire all three. I'll tell you though, Accuracy, Reliability- Cocker
Speed,Out of the Box- Ion

lol that made me laught out loud...reliability and cocker dont belong in the same sentence.
i have no doubt that the cocker is more accurate then your tippmann, but thats because of the inline regulator and better barrel. As far as your impy with freak goes thats probably because an impulse has more recoil then a cocker(this added with the ability to shoot faster causes a lot less accuracy). The ion has as much kick as a shocker(a lot closer to none then a cocker)
