I am going to buy a new gun this weekened and I was wondering if I should get the WGP 05 ProStock or if I should go with the Smart Parts Ion. I know most of you will tell me the Ion hands down, just because it shoots faster and is probably more reliable, you will also probably tell me it has better re-sale value as well.
However, If my gun is capable of shooting 5 BPS I dont care because I simply dont shoot that much. I am just wanting to know which gun is more accurate and overall better (minus the BPS factor).
cocker has accuracy like crazy the ion isnt that bad when its stock but like mine i have the freak and low pressure and all that good stuff but if u do that to any gun itll shoot ropes but u can get either gun and make it how u want
id say ion, waaaay easier to maintain and i love mine, very accurate (bought a new teardrop barrel for it) and i mean its a steady rope of paint i love it.
Get a Cocker have more upgrades (mWhahahhawHWHA) so if your willing to spend tons of cash and work a lot. Get an Ion if you don't want to spend some much but want a high grade gun.
First of all no gun is more accurate than another. While a gun may be more consistent the barrel makes it more accurate. The ION has a better regulator, less kick, more potential, faster, lighter, and just hands down better.

more upgrades just means its a poorer quality gun and requires more work. not worth the pennies
ion for sure. this coming from the cocker guru himself. cockers blow and are out dated (e2's are the only ones worth getting and they still arent that nice)

personal preference. if you just want to get a fast gun that will compete with the higher end stuff without any modding, get an ion. if you want to tinker, upgrade, and challenge yourself get a cocker.

Another option is to find a used cocker. They go for pretty cheap and have worth while upgrades on them. The Mq-valve will be coming out soon, so a e-cocker will be able to cycle 30 bps, and doesn't rely on a hammer/sear so less kick.

yeah can you shoot 30 bps? can your hopper keep up over 25? how much does all that cost?.

The hammer/sear comment is pointless. What does that have to do with this?
The tboard is coming with a new noid that can make it cycle mid to high 20bps. Basically as fast as your ever gonna shoot in a game.
