OK, so yes this is another diablo wrath vs. Ion comparison, if you are going to flame me then leave.

I know a bunch of you say Ion, a whole lot more than people for wrath. But today I went to Boston Paintball and they let me hold the Wrath and the Ion, and I like the feel of the Wrath and the trigger on the wrath a lot more than the Ion. So, I know in high end guns people say personel preference. So I'm asking, do you think the Wrath and the Ion should be decided from personal preference? Even though the Ion seems better?

i like the ion bette but remember everyone is different. if you like the wrath better then get it. dont get a gun that you dont like as well but we do its what every fits you

I would probably say it is personal preference. Like spyders and piranhas.... people always say spyders are better... but i would much rather have a piranha because of the Feeds(dont have to use the plastic adapters). But yea i say its preference.


and i would prefer the wrath over the ion. They are cheaper, i can get one for around 220. and look better imo.

Mabe your just used to the feel of spyders/spyder clones. If your comfy with it, then go ahead and buy a wrath, no point in buying an Ion if you dont like the feel of it.

A pretty good thread on why ppl liked their wraths more then the ion. And they also talk about the little things on the guns that set them apart and really determine how well the gun preforms. And yea, i'm bobide, go figure.

thanks bobide, but i just DONT SEE why people say the ion is better, i mean they go about the same bps, the wrath has an lcd screen, easier to get teh bolt out, i mean, its just wierd........ and I like the trigger on the wrath better than the ions...... idk

If you have never shot it, or an Ion, then dont try to comprehend what people are saying.

But the honest to god truth is that the Ion outpreforms the wrath. I have friends that have traded in shockers and DM4's for Ions+cash and didnt regret it at all. Not to mention all the teams out there using Ions. Punishers, B*Slap, Miami Effect (About 6 Miami players now use an Ion as thier gun of choice and picked it over Shockers and Nerves.)

Another thing, dont be scared to get the Ion thinking that you will look like all the other noobs with one. Sure there's a bunch of dumb noobs running around with Ion's, but I've experianced just as many retards running around with Angels, Timmies and Trix's.

Also, something I dont understand is why people dont go out and buy a $30 used spyder and put a Zip kit in it. ta da, a Wrath.


Alos, hate to be mean, but I didnt see one intelligent post in that PBnation thread. Even the supposed "wrath gods" are noobs.

Buy a Wrath if you want your grip telling you your shooting 12 bps.

Buy and Ion if you want to shoot 17 bps no problem without having to check a little screen.



By the way, LCD's in top level paintball guns is definatly 2002.

btw: im buying a wrath like the feel of it... IONs to me are just a bit to... not sure how to explain it. but, its nice knowing you have a gun that isent the adverage buy. just my oppinion, also it looks better... LCD!!!!! BOORAAAAAA!

Old thread, but I definitely like the feel of the Wrath more than the Ion stock, but the Ion with a Critical RPM trigger and QEV is better than a Wrath. Wrath is DEFINITELY a TON easier to work on though.

definatly, theres really not much more than a good upgraded ION but I'm buying the wrath for $100. good deal I'd say.

There are plenty of guns that are better then a fully upped Ion, but as cheap as parts and the Ion themselves are nowadays you'll spend twice as much money on the high end then the Ion.
