Marker Question
I have just started playing and have decided to combine one of my passions with another and incorporate paintball into my business plan for College. What I am asking is what "in your opinion" is the best "bang for your buck" marker; it has to be durable, mid-range for expense and be reliable.

Your talking about an Ion. They get hated on a lot by other players but that dosent change the fact that they are great markers for $300. If you asked me I would say that an Ion performs almost as well as a High end Marker and is almost as durable as a Tippman.

im gonna have to say an ion myself or you can get a b2k4/pds for around $289 about the same price as the ion but the only thing an ion has over a b2k4/pds is how little air the ion uses compared to the b2k4/pds

What kind of paintball will you be playing? If you are just going out in the woods, or playing s little recball with your buddies I would say an automag. However, if you plan on playing a lot of speedball, I would reccomend the Ion, B2k4, or wrath.

either way mags are a great choice, especially E-Mags and X-Mags if you're lucky enough to find one.

what the hell is the big thing about wraths. dont know how you could compare a wrath to an ion. Ion is by far the best bang for your buck, BY FAR. shoot an ion, wrath, mag, ect, ect. and you will easily choose the ion.

what, are we retard racing? i wanna join
ions have their faults... so do wraths. its up to you to decide which combo of advantages and disadvantages is right for you. IMO, ions are ugly and not very user friendly. you have to tear down and unplug everything to get it apart just for basic maintenance or cleaning up a ball break in the chamber.
i have see, held, shot, etc both guns... the wrath feels alot more solid to me, and is in many ways like a timmy... it has everything the ion has plus a clamping feedneck and autococker barrel threads. and i think it looks alot better, but that is just my opinion. the stock bolt is aluminum like the ion, but it has delrin, nylatron, and even teflon bolts readily available. plus there is a tboard for wraths that includes ramping, debounce controls, and a tourney lock... you cant really go wrong with a wrath
