i say Proto bc between my proto and my shocker i like my proto 10x more. Don't get the ion w/ $500 worth of ups bc in the end its still an ion

have u shot either....
proto is pretty fast, and offeres great accuarcy with little kick
shocker is a little bit faster (for me at least) and with the rebound mode on u'll terrorize people, shocker is REALLY LIGHT, but it has more kick, HOWEVER, it is extremely upgradeable compared to the matrix
