I want to spend as lil money as possible but i want a wicked gun. A5=too slow. Anyways, ive heard good things about all guns (im a noob so plz answer my questions) im hearing more good things about ion and not so many people are talking about promaster or wrath. I want to upgrade and get nice ropes of paint, i like Light gun. Im planning on buying Compressed Air tank (good idea or bad?)
My plan:
New gun + upgrades
Halo B Clear Hopper
New Tank

Anyone that can suggest a gun (with price ((plz state currency us or can)) thnx) upgrades what kind of tank (nitro? or compressed air?)

I saw in another post, predator board for ion, what is a board? and a feed neck?
Help a noobie!!

Promaster.

yes get compressed air.

Compressed air=nitro

But the promaster is better than the ion for the Noid(can shoot faster) and some people say its more reliable. And, I think it looks better.

I know this is a lot. But u sure asked lots of questions! I tried to answer to my best ability.

Well the wrath and promaster are not being pushed as much by their companies. That's 1 reason why u don't hear so much about them.

Ur plan to buy a halo b (great hopper) and a new air tank are nessecities if u want to fully use ur new gun. I recommend a 68/4500 high pressure (yes high, don't get low, i don't care what the manuel says) tank from crossfire, macdev, centerflag, and maybe nitroduck. Try to not spend over $200 b/c u can find them for less, and don't get dye's tank, it's not that good.

The board is the little computer that does all the thinking for the gun. It controls the selinoid which directs air to certain parts of the gun making it cycle. The feedneck is where the hopper attaches.

For u, i'm going to say get a ion. Sure i believe the promaster is better, but u want to spend as little as possible. And the difference between the 2, i doubt u'll ever really see/or need it. Another reason i say ion is EVERY shop out there has a sp tech. And w/ ions being so hot u bet he knows his way around ur gun. So if it breaks (which it might, READ THE MANUEL FIRST!! ask questions to us on here before doing something ur unsure of, hell looking dumb on the net sure is better then a broken gun) u have a tech to help u.

The other thing. The ion is light, fast, has little kick, PLENTY of parts, tons of techs who can help fix it, and is cheap. It's for u.

Now as for upgrades. Well, i see a new ASA (where the tank screws in) and a new feedneck as important. Try for a nice rail combo (on/off ASA and a rail) ppl like these b/c it puts the tank right up to ur shoulder when u hold the gun, and makes ur profile smaller. Or if ur a guy who digs drops, do that if u want. As for feednecks, clamping is a must. Clamp that huge halo onto ur gun. CCM, Trinity, Smartparts, all make good feednecks for u. **sand ur halo B, yes sand the feedneck when u get it, the thing is HUGE and may not fit in ur new feedneck anyway, don't worry, it's made to be sanded down**

After new ASA and feedneck u may want to upgrade the trigger (some ppl hate it) and u will want a new barrel.

Can i upgrade it just as much as i can the ion? Like i kno some of the smart pats upgrades etc. What needs to be done to the promaster to make it the best it can be

know shop carries an ICD tech...my freidns freestyle has been in the shop for weeks now...

but if u get the Promaster up the reg

www.chipleymachine.com is CCM's site. I HIGHLY recommend them, they're local here and I've been to their shop, great guys. They have the feednecks you'll want to look at.

They also make ASA's and rails, but I havent heard much about those. Some of my friends use them and have no complaints.

Prices are at that store.

yeah, i see no problem w/ posting ccm. 1) few ppl know it's chipley's custom machine so they can't google it 2) xpaintball doesn't carry them

Just look at major online stores for upgrades. Then come back and ask us which one's we know to be crap and which are good deals.

why did you choose the ion over the promaster?

feedneck, id get a ccm no rise

and asa id get a cp rail and on/off

Get the promaster...its much better than the Ion and isn't too much more. Well worth the extra money.

Gun: promaster
Barrel: Dye UL/stiffi
Feedneck: CCM no-pro
Hopper: Halo B w/ rip
ASA: like dudeus said...cp rail and cp on/off
board: stock is fine...not sure what boards are available or that will work with the promaster

feed: shockteck clamping
ASa:CP rail & cp on/off

for the record i have an ION and it rips.. but also i have upgrades up the ass!

maybe evan some new ball detents..hmmm

Are you nuts? The Promaster is better than the Ion and rapes the **** outta the Wrath. Dye UL/stiffy>Freak. Why would he get a revvy? It's so much slower than a Halo B.

u guys KNOW how much i've waited for the pro-m to come up and how much i believe it's better. And i still think a ion would fit him better. He's a new player, the gun will have more support for it (techs) and he will never use or see the difference in quality between the two. So let him use that $150 or so for paint and field fees.

CCM is great for feednecks.

CP, NDZ make good rail combos.

Wait for boards to keep coming out then make a choice.

As for the freak...how about a empire kit?

Empire is just as good as the freak for less money. So, in a way, yes, it's better.
