Gen 2 freestyle vs. Promaster
I recently stumbled upon a freestyle with a broken noid for very cheap (135)
I want a backup gun, I'm sending the freestyle in to ICD and I would probably get a promaster to replace my defiant (a friend broke it). So its between keeping the freestyle or selling it for a promaster.
I'd put all the old stuff from my defiant (valve, LPR, inline reg, and ccm no rise) onto the promaster. If I was to keep the freestyle I would have hybrid grips, ccm no rise, std lpr, HE bolt, 05 parts and a CP reg.
So help me out pbf.

keep the f/s. Put as much of the parts as possible on it (feedneck, reg) then sell the other parts for cash.

Yea but freestyles have crappy efficiency, and I'm not spending 200 bucks for that lame kit. But the freestyles shoot like trixes and weigh less than egos. The promaster weighs .2 pounds more than the FS. So theres no big difference there. And I can't find anything about efficiency.

Yea I've heard that too.
If pretty efficient means they get 1600 shots off of a hot 68/45 fill then that helps me more than vague words that are all over pbn.

i heard from bobide that he gets 1700 off a 68/45.
thats pretty dang good if you ask me
but then again, my mag only gets about 900 shots to the 68/45, so anything is good to me.

I dunno, the freestyle's resale is going down the drain, especially on non FSPs and non FSV7s. But the promaster is newer.

impossible. I havn't even shot my gun yet thnx to ICD's fabulous regulators . But 1500-1600 is the average. Snow, replace the hpr before even gasing the gun up and save urself headaches. The pro-m community is having so much trouble w/ the things.

Hah, doesn't ICD make the best regs? I have a vigilante and a CP as a backup.
Regs are just one thing ICD can't get right.
It looks like I'm going the way of the promaster.

Yes i know, what blashphemy ICD regs are the best in recharge and flowrate on the market Man it hurts just typing that.
Well i'm out $31ish to send the gun and reg for fixing and ICD......$31 that could have got me the evolve PI reg (yes it's finally out) or a cp......maybe even a gladiator.

yes, my friend, you did say that you got about 1700 of a 68/45. i believe in the thread you said "standard tank" or something like that and then i asked you if you meant a 68/45 and you said yes...
i WILL find the thread...
just not now, because im too lazy and bloated from eating so many potato skin chips from t.g.i.fridays.

AHA!!
is the extra 350 worth it?

It has average efficancy of around 1700 or more.
|
a little different from saying i got 1700. What i said means; the gun gets 1700. But i digress. Both of us are right.
I applaude ur search skillz.
