New Gun
I am currently looking for a new gun. I have around $400 that I want to spend. I am looking at either a ProMaster or an ION Pro(or anything better). What would be the best gun to get? I play a lot of woodsball, but I also play some speedball. Also, if you know of any good deals I would be willing to up my price range. Thanks for the help.

Do you already have nitro and a hopper? If you do then i'd say go with a promaster. If you dont then look on ebay there is a package for like 380$ and you get an ion with an evolution 2 hopper and a 72ci 3000psi steel tank. And just so you know promasters and ions cant use co2 =).
p.s. i think this should be in the new player section.

actually your the noob........nitro is what they started with and many places still do fill nitro. Compressed air has just become more common b/c its cheaper to fill and offers very similar characteristics.........so next time you want to correct someone try going to this site and read up a bit www.paintball-history.com

what are some "must have" upgrades for the promaster and where is the best places to get them. I have heard alot about the regs messing up, is that true, and if so which on should I go with?

promaster hands down it shoots better and you do not need to put alot of ups on it to make it good i was amazed by them it shot as good as my angel 4 fly just slower more bounce but almost as accurate and a ion is good to but it takes a long time to clean and needs more maintaince and money put into it so it because as good as a promaster
p.s. my friend has an ion as a back up and he complains all the time about some tubes breaking constantly and if you play woods i know you want reliability

I would go with the ion because there are more ups right now. Or you could wait a while and get the 06 borg. I like that.

for a promaster, the ups i get would be a cp reg and an aftermarket barrel. other then that i think you're pretty well set. they're pretty light, fast, and have great triggers. you might also want to get a unimount asa.
