Yup. I would take the RPM over the AR-1 personally. Both hard to beat (new) for their price.

really? thats slow. i say go for the ion, you could even do a remote if thats your thing, and it would be superlight. then, get a large hpa tank, and a 1piece or even a kit and you will have a quiet, accurate gun. of course, there's always the ups for ion like qev and feedneck, plus new trigger. qev/feedneck/reg for very, very accurate shooting. because of the kick and electropneumatic setup, the ion will be much more accurate not to mention efficient. just keep it clean and lubed.

the ion is a little too expensive for me
like HP and all that
just a really good gun that doesnt need many ups, just a barrel

AR-1 and RPM both fit that description. Either of those were designed to use CO2, so don't have to get HPA...

Get the RPM, comes with ramping, AR-1 doesn't. Dude where are you getting a new Ion for $230??? and remeber that'll need a HPA tank for $100 also if you don't already have one.

Sorry for the double post but i just looked back up and you want a simple woods gun... Get a Tippmann 98c pro with a nice barrel and then keep the extra for paint, the RPM and AR-1 will kick its A** in speed but you want woods ball!

if they offer returns for refurbished products then i say go for it. or if ur proshop does free repairs for life if you buy the gun there do that.
but for a sub 200 woodsball gun i say go w/ the 98c.

Go with 98c, I am in the same situation as you (i just orderd my 98c last sun). But yeah i did a lot/TONS of research on forums and ratings etc. and found that 98c is best for your/my style of play = about 5bps, woodsball, low maintenence and accurate. The only upgrade needed is a barrel (14" J&J ceramic or smart parts teardrops are $30). And any other upgrades arent really needed unless you wanna shoot more bps, but you dont need high bps for woods... Or just a mech spyder like an extra, TLX or rodeo and upgrade the barrel.

But if your going to want more speed, the RPM is the best gun under $200. Hands down.

I have to agree with the others in this thread. The Odyssey RPM is a very good marker for its price. It doesn't need a HP tank to operate and upgrades aren't needed.
