The spyder is a cheaply made gun. All spyders are. The Ion has a very corrnors cut but its a pretty solid marker. I don't really like eaither, but neither are horrible. personally I'd take the Ion, IF i could aford the HPA tank and spendy hopper. If i couldn't spend $350 then i'd get the electra.

Thanks everyone, i didn't know electra was that far off. can someone suggest another gun to look at that might be better than the ion but still thinking price wise, so i can afford a good hopper and nitro tank. maybe a barrel too, but ion seems to have a pretty good barrel for a stock.

if it helps, i planning to stay in speedball 90% of the time and a little bit in the field...gonna try to get enough experience to join some tournaments.
