Most accurate gun for Under $400

Hey guys,

I want a new gun so badly!!! I heard that the 05 WGP ProStock is super accurate. Is this true? I really want an accurate gun, it doesn't need to shoot a bah-jillion balls a seconds. Is this a good gun for me paired with a good hopper and HPA? My current gun is an up'd Spyder E99. Are there any other guns under $400 that are greatand really accurate? I'm not going to get an Ion though.

Thanks,

-Alan

I know so many people on here and off of here who buy this $200-250 gun, the Ion and put so much upgrades in it, that costs a lot of money and it needs upgrades to perform well. I'd rather put more cash out and get a gun that I can basically keep stock. The only reason my E99 is upped is because I bought it used. I want a very accurate gun and from reviews, it seems like that is exactly what this gun is, and even stock. Most people on reviews said it is fine stock.

That's not what i've heard.

I've heard that Autocockers are much more accurate because they use a completely different system to work it. I don't know that much so I can't explain.

sorry bro. it has been proven that a closed bolt marker is no more accurate than a regular open bolt gun. well techincally in testing, at 65 feet, the closed bolt gun had .3 inches less spead, so i guess you could say its more accurate but that was probably due to wind or uber slight irregularity in the paintballs.

get yourself an ion. they really dont need much, just a new feedneck and trigger. they're only 200 now. trust me, cockers are a pain.

He's right, operatings systems have little to nothing to do with accuracy.

I'm contemplating either the 05 Prostock, or the SP Nerve for $475. I have to get a gun that is good stock, I'm not an uprade kind of guy.

I'd say not at all true. It preforms very well stock, and the upgrades people put on it are all preferences, like barrels, feednecks, triggers, all personal preference.

No. The accuracy depends on the paint that you are using and the velocity setting of your marker.

I'm definitely not getting an ion. The cheapest thing I would get is an impulse vision for $290 new.

So your saying that if you were to use, say, empire ramp paint (really good stuff), at 275 FPS with your Ego (ideal velocity performance wise), but were using a stock tippy barrel (somehow), that you'd somehow have good accuracy? You are right, paint is very important, but paint doesn't do any good unless you have a decent barrel. If your velocity is anywhere from 250-290 your accuracy shouldn't change much at all.

Why would you want to pay more for a vision Imp than for a gun that is superior in every way, AND cheaper (Ion)? I mean, if you want to throw money away, hey, I can send you my address, feel free to throw $100 to me, it's your money. Just doesn't make any sense.

I've played with my friends vision Imp, and it's a solid, nice gun. I've felt an Ion and wasn't impressed.

This is back when when cockers were alot more popular, no detents were used, so people who used them had to use barrel kits or single barrels with good bore mtaches so their balls wouldnt roll out the barrel, this in turn resulted in insane accuracy
