If everyone you play with shoots Tippmann's it's not a bad idea to get one of those. Your friends will be able to help you with problems and they will have spare parts and o-rings to help you out when you break down.
The best money you can spend in paintball is a good barrel system. A Freak Kit, Empire kit, Pepper Stickz or any of the other popular barrel kits will give you all the accuracy you need.
As far as speed goes, an electronic or reactive trigger on a Tippmann will shoot just as fast as many high end electro's.
Autocockers are awesome markers but they are booger bears to get running right and keep running right when you don't know how to time and maintain them. Many a new cocker owner has walked away from them completely because they seem so daunting to understand when you first get them. If you are the only guy shooting a cocker, your problems will be compounded because you won't have anyone there to help you get it straightened out. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to get your marker to work while everyone else is out playing. I loved to shoot autocockers when I played with them but I would not recommend one to a new player who wasn't hanging out with other experienced cocker owners. Sure, there is lots of help on the internet but it's not the same as having another player fix your gun while you watch or watch and instruct you while you fix your gun.
A Tippmann and a really good barrel kit is the best thing you can do to get what you're looking for. The Tippmann's are so upgradable that you can make them crazy and a good barrel kit will get you the accuracy you want. Start out with a reliable and easy to maintain marker and you can always pick up a cocker later on if you feel the need. Buying a cocker first is a recipe for frustration from my experience.
