A couple of days ago I bought an Icon X marker. I've only shot it once, and I'm going paintballing with it a week from today. I haven't bought any upgrades for it yet, but I am thinking of getting a longer barrel and maybe a bigger hopper. I've been into airsoft for quite some time now, and I'm making the switch to paintball. I've only gone paintballing about 3 times in the last year, so I am not going to be going very frequently, maybe once every two or three weeks. Anyway, I was willing to spend about $130 to maybe $150 if it was a really good marker (this includes the hopper, mask, and co2 tank). I bought two pods on a belt, some gloves, and a "T" lock for the hopper as accessories. Did I make the right choice of gun for my situation?

You did allright. You could have gotten a Spyder Imagine for cheaper but whatever. Do not get any barrel over 16" in length. It is a waste.

There was a Spyder Victor 2 that I almost got, but it was $10 more and the guy said both the icon x and the spyder were practically the same.

BTW, how long should I extend the barrel for maximum accuracy?

your gun is the same gun as the Victor 2, its just not blue. thyre called spyder clones for a reason, and dont take the barrel past 12"

Dont take the barrel past 16". I wouldnt even waste $$$ on any upgrades really, but i would save up for a better gun first.

ya dont get a barrel longfer than 12-14 inch it is only a myth that that increases accurasy. that only works with real fire arms.

edit: don't get one that has a spiral bore inside euither. a round ball spining with liquid inside it. sound accurate? and it also makes your marker less efitiont by letting air escape
