I'm debating whether to get a Smart Parts Ion, with clamping feedneck, Halo B with rip drive, and 72CI/3000 PSI Pure Energy tank or a Indian Creek Lasoya Promaster, Evo III loader, and 72CI/3000 PSI Pure Energy tank. Which one?
are the lasoya promasters still like 219.99 or did they go back up? Imo i'd get a ICD promaster lasoya or regular with a Halo B (rip if u want) and a 48/3000 tank if ur going to get a steely u arnt gonna want a 72/3000 which weigh like 8 pounds lol.
I like the feel of it better. It feels like a high end marker, where the ion has that plastic element and lacks quality to me. Also i happen to like stacked tube markers more. For reasons of easy field stripping to clean it if need be.

I do beleive the Promaster feels a tad bit better in the hand, i just love how small the Ion is and its smooth shooting cycle. Its got good efficiency and decent upgrade ability. A lot of people don't like it stock but i played w/ a stock Ion for a year and never had problems and i absolutely loved the gun. Every time i see a promaster i am not at all impressed. They seem heavier, a lil more kick, and kinda big (after using an Ion)and i have seen a good amount of them break. Of course neither gun is something special but at its price it will serve well. I know a lot of people like both guns so no matter which way you go you should be happy, just in my experiance i like Ions better.
yea i own the lasoya. The bolt is great, the board is decent. If you don't want to mess with anything majorly you can leave it stock, and just switch modes with ease.
The air reg is decent, though i had a CP already layin around. The barrel isn't bad either.
as far as kick and efficiency. The PM will have more kick, but more efficiency. The kick can be turned down a bit after messing with the regulators and getting your LPR a little lower and your HPR and Dwell tuned to your adjustments.
Go to the ICD owner's forums or PBN's subforum for more details on how to do that.
After owning a ion and a PM i have to say the PM has been alot better. Though 200 bux is a good deal, might as well save up and look at PM6s going cheap now too.

Woah Guys u r absolutely crazy if u don't go with the pm!! The ion is heavy, slow shooting, less accurate, and made out of plastic. The pm on the other hand is amazing, aircraft ready machined metal( still lighter than ion) stacked tube design so it's way easy to clean and maintain. The pm is wayyyy faster, more accurate, better air efficiancy and is just an all out better gun. After owning both guns... The lasoya wins hands down...
I disagree to a certian extent.
the only reason the ion xe is better is beause they still have a company backing them. Promasters are fantastic markers. They do not feel cheap, they actually have a LPR, and you can get a beautiful ram upgrade for them that puts them on par with nearly any high end marker to this day.
Yes, I had one with the ram. My Ion XE with a QEV and trigger was better IMO. UGLIER, but better shooting. Nothing against the Promaster, it was fantastic shooting, even before the ram (which honestly didn't make quite as much of a difference as I thought it would if you had it tuned really well stock), and I'd still have it had not the noid decided to go belly up and it's almost as cheap to buy a whole new Promaster off ebay than it is to buy a new noid for one.
Check Ebay for the Promasters they are 99$ new. They don't come with an ASA but you can pick one up for 30$. For hopper look at the Invert Too (60$). Empire bought out Halo, so that is pretty much the reloader replacement. I've got a Eggy 3, never really had any serious problems with it. My dislikes are probally that it is sortive top heavy, and well ugly. Waiting on my rotor, should be in Thursday.
