up'ed cocker vs Ion
I know, I know, do a search.
I did a search and read thru a bunch of stuff, but my situation is a little different than everybody eleses, so don't flame me.
I have an 03 cocker (mech) that I fully upgraded a few years ago.
*trigger cam
*nexus kit (delron bolt, rex dialer, valve, ram, QEV's
*Dye 3 way
*tickler LPR
*Ergo reg on a 15 deg.
*On/Off
*all american barrel
It has been about 2 years since I've played, but I started back up about 5 months ago. I haven't really lost my touch, which leaves me were I left off two years ago. I want to go electric. I was going to get an eblade for my cocker, but now I see that I can get a pretty nice electric gun, for the cost of an eblade assy. (ION)
I will probably end up hopping up an ION if I get one with a new reg, QEV, barrel, clamping neck, and bolt; but that will be down the line a little.
My question is should I just get the eblade trigger assy., or go for the ION.
I like the fact that the ION is a pretty fast and accurate gun right out of the box, but I know if I finish my Cocker then I would have a rippin gun also.
Please help.

Get teh Ion. I never liked autocockers because they dont seem as reliable and even with the egrip it will be barely as fast as the Ion. Ions are smaller and lighter and are very nice guns for cheap. Be sure though if you get an Ion that you buy a new ASA on/off for it right away. If you dont (just like with every gun that has a duckbill asa) you could warp the threads on your tank and your asa which will cause you to pay for a new reg ($80) and a new asa.
But the Ion will be nicer. Its newer so the parts will have less wear on them, its faster (especially faster than the mech), lighter, smaller, and i beleive more gas efficient. I beleive you should get a good amount of Ion responses as the autococker is somewhat outdated now and they have been less than reliable and a pain in the ass to maintain.

Ten bucks that kid has never owned a cocker.
As a team that's owned many Electric cockers, and several Ions. I'd have to say stick with your Cocker, buy a used Eblade for around 125ish. Don't buy the worrblade.
here's why. You just saved your self some money and have a marker that is MORE efficient, just as fast(trust me a tuned e2 cocker on psp ramping will shoot ropes just as well as a ego7), and the kick/accuracy is comparable.
Now after you play for a while and have saved some money just pitch the cocker and get a real High end gun. Don't pour money into a Ion you are just gonna pitch latter.
Also get a Good air system and a halo or vlocity. And another factor to think about is you have played and like your cocker. You are going to be familiar to it.

Are you going to sell your cocker for the Ion, or buy the Ion and keep the cocker? All of this depends on what kind of ball you play. What I would do is save the cocker as it is, that way when you and your friends want to go out in the back of the woods and play, you can use the Cocker and run C02 because, 1)C02 is refillable many places 2)you can have multiple tanks for cheap. That is what I want, because every once in a while I go with my church, and they only have C02 there. Then get the Ion and up that to have a good speedball gun too.
