Vs3 vs Ion

basically the title explains it all. I am looking into a new gun and these 2 are the last 2 in the list. I like the VS3 due to the rocking trigger and spyders name but the Ion has wayy more upgrades and my local shop supplies smart parts so repairs are easy. Please be non-biast

Do you plan to play tournaments? If yes.. you cannot use the VS3. The trigger frame is 1 pull to 2 balls.. Most Tourneys do not allow this.

I Like My Ion.. you've seen the heated battle over how smart parts is a bunch of ass holes and are trying to shut everybody down. I'd either buy a used ion (since the older one's seem to work better) or pick up the new EOS...

Keep in mind though.. Ion = $169 (I think the old style is now) You'll need the following:
68 ci / 4500psi tank ~ $150
Halo B ~ $100 (EGGS SUCK!)
Clamping Feed Neck ~ $30.00 (Stock one is Junk IMO)

If you pick up a used one most of this can come standard.. buy a package for example.

The VS3 runs on a $30 C02 tank.. but still might want the Halo B because it can shoot fairly fast..

Put your comparing a spool gun (ION) to something that works using a Spring.. SHoot totally different, the Ion has no kick.

Example of mods: Ape Ion For Sale

But do you need all this no, but damn it looks nice and shoots FAST ASS ROPES LIKE NO TOMORROW!

My 2 Cents

If you don't buy the BOB, no offense, YOUR A COMPLETELY CRAZY. That is the best thing since sliced bread. Well worth the money over the max'd. I haven't scene anyone who has like there max yet.

I have not shot a VS2. I know the VS1 without mods, is a pile of ****. They advertise 20bps, but stock you lucky if you hit 10. If you can shoot them both before you buy.

To the title, Ion no doubt. The VS3 is too expensive for what it gives. Now between an Ion and VS2, It would depend on your level of confidence. If you're sure you can tear your gun apart without breaking things, then the Ion will perform better. But it is very easily damaged, and the membrane pads on it will probably go bad at some point requiring you to replace. the VS2 is much more bulletproof and rugged, while still performing very nicely. If it was myself, I'd get the VS2, as I'm one of those that don't believe in beating a company through litigation, I'd rather beat them with innovation and quality products.
