Upgrading from a Tippy 98
What should I get? Any suggestions? I was thinking an A5 what with the cyclone feed and all around better feel when you use it. Im not really into electronic guns because I cant use all the money I earn to buy paint that gets eaten in a day. What do you guys think?

upgrading a tippman to another tippman is a complete waste of money and time. if you want something non-electric, look into an automag or autococker.

I totally understand you reasoning, but there's this notion I have that nothing is as durable as a tippmann. If I were to, say, bang up an autococker or some other high end gun would it be ****ed up? I just want a good gun that will last.

an autococker requires some tender loving care, but a mag, those are tough as nails.

Everything is as tough as a tippmann.

if you only knew....
of course it'll work. Autocockers were invented when all there was was woodsball.

cockers break easily. Nothing like a tippy, at all. If your looking to upgrade, than look at an automag. Or possibly the tiburious arms markers. They are usually clip feed but their pretty sweet for senerio.

Cockers don't break easily unless the user breaks it. My friend bought one of my old cockers, it hasn't broken in the 5 YEARS that he's had it. Why? I blue locktited everything when I timed it, and he hasn't fiddled with it trying to get it better. That's the cause of 95% of the autococker "unreliability". An Autococker that's properly maintained is as durable as any other gun, moreso than most.

so autocockers break easily? I mean I understand if they break if have a ninja throw it at a wall or something, but what if it just gets pounded around like in normal woodsball. Can it take that?

SP1?? isn't that an Ion in a different body? So what your really getting is a marker that dosn't perform the same as high end, and something thats not durable... ok

I liked the SP1 because it was aluminum housed in fiberglass. That seemed pretty damn sturdy to me. It also has great performance with CO2. Liquid CO2 isnt a problem with it anymore because it allows it to vent through the gun. It performs a lot better than my tippmann considering that the smart parts guys compared it to the sp1 in live fire tests i watched em. I dont really need to fire incredibly fast like a speedballer but it does have the option for fire modes in case i need it. Seems good to me what could possibly be wrong with it?
