Personal preference, if you like a gun that is gonna shoot smooth and quiet while lacking efficiency(Though the ion is still okay) get the Ion, if you like a gun that is gonna be loud, have a little bit of kick but be very easy to tear down and clean then get the VS1. But instead of an Ion U suggest a PMR.

I'd agree with kenny, but if these are the 2 main guns you're looking at, the PMR unless you buy used is probably going to be out of the price range you want. If you get an Ion, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS on how to maintain it BEFORE attempting anything. 90% of all Ions get broken, and 99% of those breaks are for 1 reason. The user doesn't properly learn how to maintain the gun before tearing it apart, and breaks it. The spyder is less easily broken, but has a bit more kick, and much more co2 friendly.
