SP1 or A5 or ??

Hi, Im probably going out with my brother to pick him up a marker. I have an A-5 and am happy with it but then I watched some youtube videos of the SP1 in action.

SP-1

vids 2,4 and 6 are VERY impressive.

To me the videos sell the gun and I wonder why anyone getting into woodsball would even consider buying anything else. If i had known the SP1 uses half as much CO2 as the A5 and the SP1 comes with an e-grip stock for $150 I would have bought the SP1 int he first place. The A5 is great but somehow I feel like I bought the wrong gun.

Is there something I dont know about the SP1 that makes it so noone ever recommends it or talks about it? to me it seems like the best choice for a beginner. I never see anyone talk about them so I didnt really know about them. I heard smart parts was good but I went with the big name instead..

So, should I get my bro a A5 like me so we can milsim them or is the SP1 worth looking at? The SP1 is cheaper so its hard to turn it down. What are the pros and cons of these guns and if you have another suggestion for the $150-$250 price range please let me know. Thanks.

SP-1. Based off Ion technology (very similar to Vibe). Fast (for a single finger trigger), not much kick (for a low end gun), and a LOT cheaper than the A5. Oh, and you can use REAL hoppers, not that POS thing the A5 requires. There is nothing about the A5 that I like as much as the SP-1.

Nobody talks about the SP1 because it is still a fairly new addition to the woods/rec/scenario market and for the record Smart Parts is every bit as big a name as Tippmann. First off the SP1 isn't an electro mechanical marker so it isn't using an Egrip it actually is a full electro marker. This means the trigger pull is extremely crisp and the the marker is gas efficient and light. I bought my brother one and my only complaint is that the marker works on CO2 but not well at high rates of fire if you can I'd splurge the extra for an HPA tank when you buy an HPA tank the SP1 really shines and I can't think of one reason to ever buy a Tippmann.

Seems you have your mind already set on the SP-1, so go for it, it's a pleasure to shoot.

I'll agree that the SP1 is awesome Smart Parts is going to eat Tippmann for lunch in the entry level market.

I agree, but tippmann has a lot of die hard fans and SP isn't the most popular company ever... but either way I love my SP1
