I can get either gun for around 350$ Which one is better? A new Invert mini or used dm5? This will be my first electro.

Well, I wouldn't pay $350 for a Mini. They retail $325 now BNIB, so $350 is already too expensive. But I'd definitely take a Mini over the older DM5. DM5 has more potential, but by the time you get it there, you could have bought 2 Mini's. Just get a Mini, NDZ bolt, NDZ spring kit, and enjoy having a sub $400 gun that can keep up with anything on the field.

I'd rather get the TechT MRT bolt and the NDZ spring

The older DM's are horrible on gas efficiency, and the Mini is newer, so if something does go wrong, it's easier to find help.
