Can some one give me a descriptive comparison between the two markers. Thanks so much if you do 8)
I do understand the geo and dm9 fairly well and know some of the differences just wondering stuff like the operating pressure for both of them, the amount of shots ill probably get out of each stock with a 68ci, and which one has better shot to shot consistency. Thanks
awww damn thought they were well that sux, any chance anyone knows the operating pressure for both of them, the amount of shots ill probably get out of each stock with a 68ci, and which one probably has better shot to shot consistency?
Yea, your going to have to cool your jets for a second because no one knows about the GEO.... but it looks goood... It gets effiecency better than my quest (suposidly anyway, we'll see what it actually gets) and shoots like a spool...
My enthusiasm for the Geo waned when I learned it was an unbalanced spooly-hybrid like a Shocker, PMR, or Ion. While they shoot fine, I consider unbalanced to definitely be a "low-end" product more than balanced spools.
nah im not looking for a new marker, droids a pretty cool but i already own 2 and was thinking i might get one of these for xmas, but im confused what makes the geo unbalanced isnt it basically an ion thats made with the quality of an ego9 better than the quality dye can put out. Being a blow forward which i read basically cancels out kick, and then having the sexy little low o ring bolt. Plus it has a lower operating pressure than the dm9.
I like the dm9 cuz i own a dm7 and love it to death. One of the only things i find that its missing is a better trigger/frame and i know ego makes the best ones out there i hear mac dev comes close or is equal in their trigger/frame qulaity. And the dm9 has hardly any kick. I dont mind the maintenance or any of the features some come to dislike in the dye series. But if i can get a matrix from a company i like more that would be the geo wouldnt it?

Yeah, it is. That's what makes it unbalanced. Unbalanced spools don't have an lpr. This is what makes them less efficient and kick more. They can be made lighter since they don't have as much hardware, however. From everything I've read, GEO operating pressure is 130 psi, which is not really that much different from the DM9, which I understand is around 140 (I don't have either, so I'm relying on what I read here). But the LP OP (that which actually drives the internals) of the DM9 is much lower than that of the GEO.
I personally see no point in the DM9. It's still no real improvement upon the DM6, but still costs $1400. The Geo is better compared to Ions and Shockers than the DM9. If you wanna pay $1250 for an Ion, feel free. You'll just never see me do it, nor could I ever recommend it to someone. Had they priced the Geo with the Etek, I could recommend it since the quality is far superior to Ions or Shockers.
GEO: Light, LOUD(Take an Egos noise, multiply it by two, KICKS LIKE A ****ING MULE(Take an Egos, multiply it by ten), that's all I really got to notice, I only put a couple pods in it over the chrono. Honestly it was the worst gun I have ever shot.
DM9: Light, QUiet, Zero kick, Fairly efficient, Smooth as butter.
That is what you will be looking at. No those are not biased results. My teammate was lookngi to buy the GEO, after shooting one he was like "Droid here I come".

lol cool, well if geo is that bad i might wind up buying a sl8r if i can get a good deal on one
still need to shoot one for myself, personally everything ive read about it should make it the best marker around, and in markers now a days kick is so light that any marker with any kick out now isnt bad at all, but louder than an ego? ooo thats gonna get annoying. One of the features that really gets me on the geo tho is the hpr and noid filters. Are the new ego and geo regulators standard threads, so i can fit it on a cocker? And how good are their regulators compared to the hyper 3, AKAs regs, and the gladiator?
Thanks
IT is a spool. Spool hybrid from some things I've read, full spool from others. I haven't bothered looking it up to know for sure. But Kenny's not the first I've heard comment that the Geo kicks a lot for a spool.
well damn it comes down to having to fire each marker myself... again 8P .... but thats the fun of it isnt it? but not when no one has the marker yet 8P thanks guys
I clearly stated that was unbias. It kicks more then my 06 Ego, is louder then my 06 Ego, and feels a thousand times worse then ANY gun I have ever felt., It is light though, I'll give it that.

Wow big down on the Geo, and I was so excited about it.
So was I. Then I started hearing first hand accounts of it, and I've become less and less excited to the point where I don't care anymore one iota about it.
