Well, my friend is going to get a mini, which we all know is a good gun for its price. I do have faster fingers than him and am over all a better player, but i need to keep up with him. We are both only 14- so we have little income. I was going to get a Redz ion... will he over power me bad? Should I get an Epiphany instead?
between the two the preformance difference will not give either an advantage, its going to come down to skill as a player if you two are shooting those markers, however, i would give the preformance edge to the mini over the redz ion, i mean thats a nice ion, but its still an ion. $300, lets see, you could get a used DM line marker for that, probably a dm7 if your lucky, and id rate that above the mini. dont bother with the epiphany, its just an ion in a dress, you can probably also get a uped PMR for that, just depends on who is selling and what they want for it
holy crap, i just did a quick search its looking like dm7s are going for more than i thought, you could easily get a dm6 but some parts for them are getting harder to find so really its up to you, a pmr, that is still in production or a dm6 that is out of production, the parts will be easier to come by for the pmr but id rate the preformance of the 6 above that of the pmr

get an ion xe, then every time you get 50 bucks put something into it because a modded ion XE will shoot better than a pmr.
I will disagree to that, the tech the ion is using is inferior to the PMR, the PMR tech is the same stuff the rest of the dye and proto high ends are using, so your basically saying a modded xe shoots better than pro level tourny markers, and last i remember there is only 1 pro level team that uses ions of any sorts while there are tons that use the DM line (now granted im not saying they are choosing but their sponcers sure seem to know which is better)
as long as you have the eyes on i dont see any major issues running an egg on top of a 6
and i can only find a few on ebay right now but it looks like they are selling for around $200-$300

F7, F8, G3, Mini, Used Quest, Used dm6, Used ego 06, used Marq (if your lucky), used PMR, etc...their is actually alot to choose from in that price range.

I'd say PMR = modded XE, in terms of technology and performance. They're both unbalanced spool valves. The PMR is DEFINITELY better looking, it's made a little better, FAR superior fit and finish, and a more comfortable frame & trigger...but at the end of the day, they're both unbalanced spools.
o crap ya i forgot the PMR was an unbalanced spooly
look at it from a economic standpoint though, how much is it going to cost to buy a xe then mod it vs. just buying a pmr?
