uh... that's complicated. Leave the compact 2000 completely out of it, that marker is waaaaaay too old and you will not find parts for it. 98 customs are just as old but since they're still in production, parts are easy to come by.
Performance wise, you'd be getting the same kind of performance for any of those 3.
Personally i'd go MR1 because they're very easy to maintain and simple to work on. Then again, 98s are very tough markers, so ask yourself whether you'll be doing regular maintenance or not, and it'll be between the MR1 and the 98.
A 98c will keep shooting for longer without much maintenance, if that's what you're looking for. You still have to oil certain parts with some frequencey, but you won't need to tear it down very often if at all.
