what good is the red dot if the projectile won't hit the red dot. it's pointless. it might give you a general idea of where it might hit, but thats it. i'm a noob, only played a handfull of times, and i can tell where the ball might hit, save the money of buying a scope or red dot sight, and buy better paint

look here are reasons y not to get the scope 1 if someone gets a lucky shot and hits that thing what will happen i think itll break it 2 how do u plan on looking through the scope with a mask on 3 youre in the woods u can see past brush if ur laying down so unless your in a tower or on a hill pointless to have a scope now if u want a sniper rifle u dont need an electric marker use guns such as tippmanns you dont need an electric hopper bc itll just make noise youre best bet is tippmann with a whisper barrel or a hammerhead things are amazing but pricey

something like a spool valve marker would be much quieter than a blowback, well really anything is quieter that a blowback, not to mention any hopper worth owning will only make noise after you have fired, and call me crazy but i think the marker shooting is going to be much more of a sign of where you are over your hopper, whispers and hammerheads are nothing special imo, overpriced aluminum tubes, stick with a J&J. something like a XE with a J&J and a good hopper on top would be a excelent choice, not only will it be a good "sniper" but would be a great all around marker when the person realizes that the "sniper" position doesnt really exist

Oh the great return of Trbo, nice to see you again.
He's right tough : high-end markers are quieter, this could be an advantage in woods, especially if you don't want to be spotted.
ya i went riding the Oregon dunes for a week, camping in the sand in the back of a truck and pretty much riding for around 10 hours a day, got back broke as a joke and just havnt really gotten on
im glad someone missed me though =D

IM going to keep this simple. no scopes are good, red dots are another thing. You should get a magnification x1 thought, its harder to aim your gun with anything over x1 magnification, try to judge how much to arc your gun gets harder. Theirs this thing called gravity so the ball drops, we all know that. As for a "sniper gun" get a sp-1. I know where your coming from but sniping isnt in this game. But if you want to play the role of one you'll need to get good aim and increase the distance your gun can shoot. You will want to get a apex barrel. It puts a backspin on the ball increasing the range, you can probably shoot over 250 feet with the apex barrel. But it's hard to aim it with the systems its got to add the extra distance. Although you didnt ask im going to give you advice on playing the sniper role. DO NOT stay where you start and wait for them to come or you might get one guy through the whole game. Tail your front players ( stay around 40-60 feet behind them and off the a side. They will draw attention to them if they are doing their job and playing the game. While they are pinned so can simply scout out all the players and pick them off one by one once you get your aim up their. But dont spray and pray at them or you simply will give away your position. Try and fire one ball and wait 2 seconds before you fire your next one. You can fire 2-3 balls and still be unnoticed but i say fire One and wait . Ive played players than can just tell your general area withing 10 feet just by hearing you fire and the can be 60 feet away. It's amazing when you see them do that. But if you fire one ball and wait a few seconds before you fire your next you'll be fine. But always tail you front player like a mid player would do. Works great for me. Keep your stealth throughout and entire game. It's a "snipers" best weapon they got. So as for the gun get the sp-1 and a apex barrel. Also get a hpa tank if your not using one already. Also, this is for everyone to remember, it's not the gun, its the player using the gun. Also maybe a Azodin zenith for the fact that you can decrease the sound of our shot. That would work well to keep your stealth too. And for those of you who say it over priced its not.

My two cents. Scope=BAD..Red Dot=BAD...Any sort of magnification device attached to your marker=BAD. I would much rather use your evil over a-5 in woods any day.
i dont think some of you know that your even playing paintball (most of you know what your talking about) there is absolutly no point to have a scope just invest in some good paint is always the most important thing but it is always good to have a good barrel
