Smart Parts Ion vs Autococker 2000

I bought 2 paintball guns in the last week. I am going to give one to my friend and keep one for myself...I need to know which one I should keep. I am fairly new to the game and will be playing mostly rec. ball but I also want performance out of my guns.

Option #1
Smart Parts Ion
Teardrop Barrel
Electronic Trigger
Automatic Hopper

Option #2
Autococker 2000
Dye trigger casing
Upgraded barrel
Automatic Hopper

Thanks, and let me know why you think X is better than Y.

Honestly, neither. The Ion is junk since you don't say it has a BOB (bolt out back) body. So it'll break on you doing routine maintenance at some point. If you wanna get a BOB body for it, go that route.

The Autococker is older and I wouldn't be surprised if it were out of time. Unless you know what you're doing, timing an autococker can be quite tricky, and is NOT something you want to be doing when new.

Just get a SP Vibe.

i'd keep the cocker. much less grief than the ion in the long run. Plus knowing how to tune a cocker is a craft, not something just anyone knows how to do. But your friend will shoot ropes around you so i suggest you learn some skill, tactics and how to move before you go out there.

outch ya i gota agree, tough call, as much as i hate to say it, id take the ion, just for a player starting out its going to be easier to pick up and play with vs the cocker wich will be hard to use if it is not already timed correctly. not to mention im assuming the cocker is a single trigger, if it is, advantage to the ion.

now that said, if i took the ion id replace it asap with either a BOB body or just sell it and get a ion XE
