A-5 with eGrip, DT & hair pin or ION?

Okay, just played this awesome sport for the first time in my life with my new Tippmann A-5, I paid $200 at a local shop for it as I wanted my own marker and didn't have time to buy online.

This is a 2 part question so here it goes:

#1.
What I want to know is would my A-5 with an eGrip, double trigger and hair pin trigger kit be as good or better than a stock ION? I want to play scenario and woods ball more than speedball but I'd like something better for when I play speed ball cause I got tore the F up yesterday going against some guys with angels.

#2.
Should I just get a used ION instead of upgrading my A-5? The eGrip and all for the A-5 would come from online as I have time to upgrade my A-5 so I can wait on the parts or should I just get an ION and use that speceficly for speedball and keep my A-5 stock as I like the way it works @ stock for woodsball and stuff.

What would you guys do for someone like me that will end up playing a lot more woodsball and scenario ball than speed ball?

The best markers for woodsball are "speedball" markers. To judge a good speedball marker you look at size, weight, efficiency, how "smooth" it shoots, and of course rate of fire (which means almost nothing anymore). Typically woodsball markers are judged by how closely they resemble a real world firearm. Occasionally somebody will mention a woodsball marker being tougher or more durable but a speedball player is more likely to put their marker through more abuse in a single day of play than your average woodsball marker will see in a season.

Don't fall into the new player trap of blaming your marker for your loss at speedball you lost because you lack experience and the players that beat you won because they were better not because their markers shot faster. I've seen new players show up at the field lose and then the next time they play they have a new and more expensive marker and of course they lose again and go out and spend more money. You can't buy skill but lots of shops will gladly let you try.

I say keep the A5 for now and work on your skills and when you figure out your play style and what you need/want in a marker shop around a bit and do some research. If you are dead set on upping your A5 or buying a used Ion I say buy the Ion just make sure you have an HPA tank.

Considering I did a lot better with my boss's spyder with an elec trigger shooting 20 bps roughly I think it has a lil to do with the marker. Otherwise the pro's wouldn't care.

The pros all have bps caps (now under 12bps) so I'd say they don't really care.
