Dye vs WDP Angel

Which marker would you chose between the Dye (any DM series) or a WDP Angel? What model would you choose and why?

I guess it would depend. If it were free, DM9. If I had to pay for it, A1 and get a magno valve and magno ram. Not QUITE as smooth as the DM9, but SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much nicer programming with the OLED board, battery actually lasts longer, so much better efficiency, nicer stock trigger IMO, nicer grips IMO, and absolutely TONS easier maintenance.

Spoolie vs. poppet

Depends on what you're looking for

I deeply hate this guy, and I have no idea why . But that video explain the difference pretty well.

Basically it says that in a poppet, a ram is hitting the valve to let the air out. In a spool valve, there's no hit : just a bolt movement letting the air out. That makes the spool valve smoother, but less air efficient compare to a poppet valve.

Are these the only two brands your intersted in? I think I'm going to go DM mainly because Angel has had such a bad wrap for the past few years, but from what I've heard the A1 seems to be turning it around.

Ultimately, everything in paintball comes down to personal preference.

Shoot the one YOU like better.

With that said, one other factor to consider is that you are more likely to be able to easily find a tech and parts for a DM than an Angel. It's a much more popular marker right now.
